When my wife and I went to China in 1994 to adopt our daughter, we visited the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. When we returned to China with our daughter in 2002, we saw many other areas, including Kunming, Chengdu, Xian, the Three Gorges of the Yangzi River (before the dam was completed), and Hong Kong. Circumstances then were quite different than now.
